Who We Are

NEGROSBLOGGERS.COM is the official website of a community of bloggers from the island of Negros, Philippines. This blog serves as an avenue of oneness between and among bloggers from this beautiful island, a source of information in and around Negros and so much more.

HISTORY

The Negros Bloggers, as an organization, was first conceptualized and started by three bloggers sometime in 2009, namely, Ruby Caberte, May Castro and Glady Tomulto, who felt the need to professionalize their craft of blogging.

They held meetings and sponsored blogging seminars to gather and network with other bloggers based in Bacolod City.

Soon, through blog hopping, link exchange and social networking, the group grew by leaps and bounds, attracting many Negrense bloggers based in Bacolod as well from other parts of the country.

THE PRESENT

To formalize their organization, the core members of the Negros Bloggers have formed NEGRENSE BLOGGING SOCIETY, INC. (NBSI), a SEC-registered non-profit, non-stock association.

Negrense Blogging Society, Inc. is the juridical personality behind the Negros Bloggers.

MISSION OF THE NEGRENSE BLOGGING SOCIETY, INC.

“We are an organization of bona fide and dedicated Negrense bloggers in Negros Occidental and around the country committed in blogging to promote, preserve, and develop the arts, culture, business, environment, tourism, and history of the Negrenses in the blogosphere.

“We are also a community of bloggers who help one another develop and professionalize our craft, foster camaraderie and friendship, while at the same time gather other Negrense bloggers together through link parties, seminars, guest posts. We will look for new opportunities that may benefit ourselves and our readers.
